The second one works, but the stream is jumpy and less than satisfying UNLESS you are doing nothing else but listening to the station. This application so dogs down my laptop that you can hardly use it with normal operations to listen to music. I had to ask for a replacement of the first one.
Some times it has a bad signal and switching stations is not intsant. This item works in the fact that you can listen to a lot of things are very far away from what a regular radio will pick up. Hope this helped good luck I got this as a gift for some one who is not very proficient with computers and they have trouble using it, there are free services that are better than this device. How ever the Menu is very time consuming,it does not work fast and takes time to find the station you are looking for. You must filter through stations to find what you like, and the genre lists are not very effective at finding what you like.
The price can't be beat for the number of free radio stations this product allows you to listen to, it's highly recommended. Now when I travel it's so simple to plug in the Alurtek to my USB port, scroll through the pull down menu and select a genre of music to listen to. I travel on business trips and find myself using my laptop more and more for music to work by or relax. There are only a couple of streaming radio stations I use and know them by heart but this product has changed the way I listen to music on the radio.
Already recommeded to several friends. Best purchase I ever made. Just waiting to go over seas to really smile in earnest.
